In this session we will have a look at how to get them interested in writing and how to make our writing lessons more creative. In other words, we will discuss how to change our writing lessons from a chore to some engaging activities and make students aware that writing can be fun.

It is not news that literary and other types of text are often used in class. They are normally exploited in a formal way, through a set of exercises for comprehension or language practice. In this session, however, we will explore the most authentic ways of using texts. This approach elaborated by Brian Tomlinson is described as multi-dimensional because it aims to achieve the full cognitive, emotional and linguistic impact on students. In other words, it teaches how to “experience” the text.
